Experience the adrenalin rush and thrill of
shooting moving clay targets with live ammunition under personal
instruction from Olympic shooter Brian Thomson.
Spend your time just enjoying the activities without
the pressure of competition or choose from our five packaged
activities.
Once you have learned the basic’s and practiced a little, you will be
selected for your team in building a score to compete against other
teams of your mates. Teams vary from two to five persons. How will you
perform individually, will you be able to help your mates break the
targets, knowing your score will be part of the team effort.

Sporting Clays is one of the safest and fastest
growing gun sports in the world today.Under the instruction and
supervision of New Zealand Champion and World Title Holder, Dale Clark,
our course is designed to entice beginners and challenge the
experienced. The excitement of breaking clay targets is infectious
& fun the whole family can enjoy.
Our Clay Target Course is nestled in a natural, rural setting that
offers superb atmosphere and a truly unique shooting encounter. The
"Hunters Cabin", set in the bush, with full facilities including hot
fire, BBQ & breathtaking views; is a magnificent retreat to spend
your day.
We are only 30 min from Downtown, Auckland.
Please wear good outdoor footwear, bring a change of clothes if it is
raining; this is an all weather sport likewise sunscreen if sunny.
Please NO alcohol before and during the event, we are dealing with live ammo & firearms.

Designed by a well known Rotorua sportsman, Bill Hamill the course
is 2000 metres long and uses to advantage the natural location and
ground cover. Set out on two fields there are fifty targets and 36
separate shooting stations, the targets simulate the habits of wild
game, pheasant, rabbit, duck and more.
The course is challenging - from
20 different traps, clay targets are released at different heights
and speed imitating various wildlife, giving the shooter with as
close to the real experience. Gates open for one person with a
maximum of thirty guests able to be catered for in one session.

Here is your chance to give it a
real blast! Test your skill & accuracy with real shotguns and live
ammunition. And remember... no time to muck around because you'll
have to shoot at it as soon as we send it flying!
Claybird shooting is great fun and
this is definitely not as easy as it looks. There are 5 or 10 clay
targets per person, depending on which option you choose, and you can
take 2 shots at each clay. What a blast!
