This Hawkes Bay Cycle Stag Do Package Includes:
Firstly, you’ll meet your Bike hire team who will set you up for the day. You’ll receive everything you need for your Hawkes Bay Cycle Stag Do. Your adventure starts with Taradale’s best – the Duke of Gloucester for more fun on your afternoon cycling adventure. You will cycle through Taradale to visit Church Road and Mission Estate wineries. Then you’ll connect with the Ahuriri Estuary water trails to get back to our base in Ahuriri – a very enjoyable ride with diverse scenery and great stops. If you want extra riding then to add in a diversion to Bayview on the inland lagoon farm trails and back to Ahuriri via the Westshore coastal cycleway – another 15km of gorgeous riding and one more winery to visit, Crab Farm. Please note all wine tasting charges are payable direct.
As you cycle back towards the base you can stop at 2 gin bars. Moreover, you’ll only add a few kms to your trail, in total 45kms.
Opening hours at wineries vary and some wineries are closed over winter months. Please check at the time of booking the number of wineries you should expect to find open. Wherever possible we will advise of closures due to private functions however we cannot be held responsible for closures we have not been advised of. Transport is from/to the Napier or Hastings i-Sites or central accommodation only.
Lastly, after you have finished your cycle tour, you would have worked up an appetite. Your Hawkes Bay Stag Do can head to a local restaurant for a 2-course dinner. In our experience, this portion of the day is a must, to avoid getting too drunk too fast, and ending up in a taxi home by 10 pm. Dinner includes shared entrees and a choice of main.
