Ruapehu Quad Adventures specialise in guiding Quad bike tours through and around the mighty 42nd Traverse “ALL SEASONS”.

The mighty 42nd Traverse meanders through the Nationally Significant Kiwi and Blue Duck “Sanctuary” of the Tongariro Conservation area. The Tongariro Conservation area encompasses 21470 hectares of New Zealand’s Indigenous Forest. “It is truly awesome”

Our journeys take us through a diverse and ever-changing landscape. We travel from the volcanic mountains of the Tongariro World Heritage Park and descend deep into the lowland forest of the Tongariro Conservation area.

The mountains of this region have great spiritual significance for the Maori people. The area is rich in Maori History and legend.

You will see the headwaters of the Whanganui River where the water is crystal clear and the fish are Iconic.

If you are seeking to take a leisurely scenic ride and curious about our natural Heritage, or wish to pursue the thrills and action we will tailor the adventure to suite your preference.

Quad bikes are easy to learn, they are an exciting and fun way to see our National Parks. The tracks of the mighty 42nd Traverse are ideally suited for quad bikes.

Our guides have tremendous experience with the great out doors and will expertly cater for all your needs.

Our training & initiation Schedule caters for those whom lack confidence and need gentle tuition and for those who have previous experience.

Ruapehu Quad Adventures work very closely with The Department of Conservation. We offer our guests the opportunity to participate with the protection of our native species.

You need to allow at least half an hour over and above the advertised tour times for the initiation and training.

You will need to bring warm clothing, and strong footwear preferably boots. A camera is highly recommended.

We supply all the safety equipment, food, drinks, and wet weather gear.
