Let us show you that anyone is capable of catching large fish. We provide the vessel, tackle, knowledge and tuition to help you succeed. Winning the battle with a large fish is more about teamwork, technique and determination and less about an anglers own strength. We can cater for both experienced and first-time anglers.

For those with limited time a single day fishing trip can be productive - we have a fast boat. Our speciality is long range, liveaboard gamefishing charters in New Zealand and for those anglers who enjoy competitions and socializing, the vessel is available for tournament hire.

Visit remote places like White Island and the famous Ranfurly Banks/East Cape region and fish for Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, Yellowfin and Bigeye Tuna, Mako, Yellowtail Kingfish and Broadbill Swordfish.

Operating Area

From June to November “Glistening Waters” is based at Chaffers Marina in the capital city, Wellington and operating principally on the east coast of the lower North Island. The vessel may be used for both rock lobster fishing and gamefishing/sportfishing charters.

Game and Sports fish targeted may include Kahawai, Albacore and Kingfish, Mako and Porbeagle Shark. There is a real possibility of capturing Broadbill Swordfish and Southern Bluefin Tuna. The vessel 'Glistening Waters' represents the first real opportunity for recreational anglers fishing under I.G.F.A. rules to catch Swordfish and Bluefin Tuna on rod and reel out of the capital city.

From December to May the vessel will be based initially in Gisborne where Alister and Bridget have a marina berth adjacent to the Gisborne / Tatapouri Sports Fishing Club, a wonderful facility only 25 metres from the vessel's berth. New Zealand's best Blue Marlin fishery exists in the Waihau Bay - East Cape region and is within a half a day's cruising range from Gisborne.This area offers the best variety of gamefish in New Zealand.Charter groups can board the vessel at Whakatane if they prefer.With sufficient prior notice we can accommodate fishing charters in the Western Bay Of Plenty and Eastern Coromandel.

$1600 including all taxes for one days charter for 1-6 anglers

$1500 per day including all taxes for 3-4 days liveaboard charter, food $30/p.p/day

$1400 per day including all taxes for 5+ days liveaboard charter,food $30/p.p./day

Rates are based on 10 hour fishing days
