Pete and John will look after you from start to finish offering the best possible service and fishing to make your day a memorable one. Both are qualified skippers, good cooks and very experienced fishermen.

Combined John and Pete have over 35 years of charter experience and over 65 years fishing experience in the local waters and around the country.

John is a qualified dive instructor and we are happy to cater for dive trips as well. We see dolphins and whales often during summer months and there always albatross out wide.

THE MARLBOROUGH SOUNDS

An all weather boating and fishing paradise - we can take 18 people across the strait. Accommodation is on shore either at our challet at Furneaux Lodge, at the Wilderness Resort on D'Urville Island and/or on the boat. We fish for groper and tuna on the way over, catch xos bluecod in the outer sounds, dive for crays, dredge for scallops and then if there is time target tarakihi, snapper and other fish before heading into the tranquil waters for a meal/drinks and socializing at the likes of Furneaux Lodge

CRAYFISH/SCALLOPS - (In season)

We can attempt to set pots, tow a dredge or put a diver down, however this is subject to weather, season and tide conditions. Please ask us about this when booking.

BLUEFIN AND BROADBILL SWORDFISH

There is good potential for these fish at the Cook strait canyon (3 hours steam from Wgtn) and definite potential off the Wairarapa coast (8 - 10hour steam from Wgtn). We can do a 24 , 36 or 48hr trip targeting these monsters.

EVENING CRUISES ON THE HARBOUR

Daniel is perfectly suited for groups of up to 50 for trips around the harbour. you can byo your own food and refreshments or we can provide them. Perfect for xmas doos, stag or hens parties, 21sts, client entertainment, social clubs etc.

Daniel fishes the south coast out to Nicholsons trench. The area is better in

northerly winds and is rich with groper, bass and bluenose as well as sharks and other interesting species (as well as broadbill and bluefin tuna potential). The inshore fishing is very productive for blue cod and tarakihi as well as crayfish.

Melicent fishes the west coast which is better in southerly winds and has a

product groper (hapuku) snapper and kingfish fishery oct - june. Inshore fishing for bluecod and tarakihi is alway s good with many other species like john dory, trev, warehou, trumpeter and tuna from time to time.
