The best way to see the Waiau Gorge Canyon and the surrounding countryside. Thrillseekers will provide you with a trip to remember, fun for the whole family. Marvel at the twist rock, water holes, pink marble rock, fault line features and at the right time of year the absolute crystal clearness of the river, so clear you can see the trout swimming by. Leap out of the raft and go for a float, but make sure you are back in the raft before the rapids so you can hold on. We supply everything required.

The 'Earthquake Slip Rapids' are a mixture of Grade 3 & 4 and provide the most entertaining whitewater on the mighty Buller River, which maintains consistent summer river flows. This 3 hour river adventure on the West Coast's largest volume river, provides a variety of invigorating experiences. Our professional river guides cater for all thrill levels, with the emphasis on fun, participation and safety. Optional river challenges include a 9m cliff jump, a Grade 2 swim rapid and the more adventurous can paddle a self bailing inflatable kayak.

Between rapids, absorb the spectacular Buller Gorge scenery while listening to bird song and tales of the early pioneers.

Underworld Rafting is a “Cave Rafting Adventure” in the Paparoa National Park. We take the rainforest train through the primeval rain forest and explore a calcitic paradise in one of NZ’s largest caves complete with stalactites and stalagmites. We float through' incredible Glow-worm lit grottoes and have fun bouncing down the small Nile River rapids.

The experience is suitable for people with water confidence 10 and over.
